Samuel and Martha's parents die in a car crash in England. -
Exposition 3 Characters
Samuel Blink is a twelve-year old boy who has bad luck. Martha Blink is Samuel's younger sister, and today is her birthday. Aunt Eda is Samuel and Martha's mother's sister. Aunt Eda is married to Uncle Henrik, who disappeared into the forest almost ten years ago and has not been seen since. -

Exposition 2 Setting
Samuel and Martha go to live with Aunt Eda in Norway in a small town. Aunt Eda lived in an old house next to the woods. -
Rising Action 1
Martha wanders into the forbidden forest. -
Rising Action 2
Martha falls into a huldre trap. -
Rising Action Conflict
Sam and Martha wander into the Forbidden Forest. -
Rising Action 3
Samuel follows Martha into the forest and resists getting eaten by a 'slemp.' -
Rising Action 4
Sam is changed into a rabbit,and Martha is now a bird. -
Rising Action 5
The trees try to kill Sam and Martha, who change back into people. -
Climax
Aunt Eda and Ibsen come to rescue them, but Prof. Tanglewood breaths out a cloud of black smoke and tries to suffocate them. -
Falling Action 1
Samuel drops a hewlip leaf (a poisonous plant) into the Professor's open mouth. -
Falling Action 2
Professor Tanglewood screams "oh no!" and they all escape. -
Resolution 1
The Professor's head explodes. -
Resolution 2
Ibsen the elkhound turns into the long lost Uncle Henrik. -
Resolution 3
The Shadow Witch turns into a beautiful woman, and asks Aunt Eda, Sam, Martha and Uncle Henrik if they want to leave. -

Samuel and Martha want to go home, so they safely return home.
