World War I
Germany and Austria-Hungary were fighting Britain,Italy,Russia and France. Almost 130 navies died when a submarine sank the British ocean liner. The President was Woodrow Wilson who ordered all fighting to stop. The fighting stopped momentarily but soon resumed again. -
The Great Depression
Businesses and factories shut down,farmers were not growing many crops to harvest to provide food for there families. By November 1932, 20 percent of Americans were unemployed. -
9/11/2001
A series of cordinted suicide attacks on the United States. 19 terrorists hijacked 4 airplanes and crashed them into the World Trade Centers which killed everyone on board. The death toll attack was 2,995 which includes the hijackers.
