Igor Sikorsky
He was the inventer of the helicopter and he also invented the system in which a machine gun could fire through propeller blades without hitting them in World War One. He was Russian and worked in Russia until the Civil War where he saw no opportunity to help, so he moved to America where he bacame a citizen. -

Hughes H-4 Hercules aka the Spruce Goose
The air craft was the largest flying boat ever built and has the biggest wingspan and height of any plane. If flew quite well, due to the fact ift was light. Because it was made of plywood. It was planned to be used in World War Two, but didn't get past the prototype stage before the war ended. And was never used commercially because of the new technology in aviation It is now held in the Evergreen Aviation Museum, USA in a good condition. -

Concorde service time
The Concorde is a super-sonic passenger aircraft. Only 20 of them were ever made and they flew for 27 years, from the 21 January 1976 to the 26 November 2003, before retiring. -

He was the first man to fly around the world non-stop in a ballon. He died in 2008 in a plane crash in the Nevada desert. He was a loved American pilot and explorer.
