At 11 I joined a Jesuit monastery and studied Latin and Greek, and I played the lute and organs. -

Study of Medicine
At age 17, I entered the University of Pisa in 1581, to study medicine, as my father wished. -
Pulsilogia
I invented the "pendulum pulse taker" to measure the rate and variation of a patient's pulse. -

I found out the length and heighth of Nimrod's face, and Lucifer himself. Lucifer was about 2,000 armlengths long. Nimrod's face was as large as St. Peter's "cone" in Rome -
Father passes on
My father, Vincenzo Galilei died, on July 2 1591. And I, being the oldest, had to take care of the whole family. Paying for all the financial problems, including my own shortage of money. -
Rudimentary Thermometer
I invented the Rudimentary thermometer using water and differently weighed objects which rise at different temperatures. -
Invention of the Pump
In 1593, I invented the pump, which raised water with one horse. -
Telescope
I invented the telescope in 1609, which magnified things three times. Later that same year I invented the telescope that magnified twenty times. -
New discoveries
In addition to my new invention I verified that Copernicus's system which states the earth and all other planets revolve around the sun, contrary to the system that was commonly thought that the sun revolves around the earth. -
Heresy
Charged for heresy against the Church for teaching the Copernican system, which was said to be against the Bible. I was sentenced to house arrest, instead of going to jail,due to my old age and sickness. -
End of the Line
I,Galileo Galilei died on January 8, 1642 in my home (under house arrest) in Arcetri, Florence, Italy, At the age of 78.
