U.S president William McKinley was killed at 4:07 by Leon Czolgosz. In his right hand, he held a .32 caliber Iver-Johnson revolver, and shot the president. This was during a meet and greet with the president. -

Leo Hendrik Baekeland, Bakelite was made by mixing Carbolic Acid with Formaldehyde, it is considered the first plastic. In 1909, Bakelite was introduced to the general public at a chemical conference.
