Declaratory Act/Stamp Act Repealed
The protests in the colonies as well as protests in England (because of the decrease in trade with the colonies, because of the boycotts) Led Parlament to repeal the Stamp Act, with the condition that the Declaratory act be passed, which declared that Parlament had the right to govern the colonies. -
Townshend Acts
Placed an import duty on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. -
Start of the Occupation of Boston Harbor
In response to the ammount of smuggling and the number of atacks by the Sons of Liberty on tax collectors, the British send in troops to occupy the Boston Harbor -
Boston "Massacre"
Colonists form a mob and begin throwing snowballs at British soldiers, during the commotion the commander of the soldiers yelled out "Don't Fire" which one of the troops clearly misheard as "Fire" causing a chain of gunfire to go off, killing 3 instantly and wounding 2 who died later. -

- The Boston Port Act- Closes Boston Harbor
- The Mass. Government Act- Brought the Massachusetts government under british control
- Administration of Justice Act- Allowed governor to move trials of accused royal officials to other colonies or Britain.
- Quartering act- expanded the previous act by giving the governor power to decide what was acceptable housing
- Quebec Act- Enlarged the boundaries of the colony of Canada to the area west of the appalacians and gave them religious freedom

First Continental Congress
In Responce to the Intolerable Acts, the first Continental Congress is held, leading to a boycott of british goods in all the colonies. -

as agreed upon by the first congress, representatives meet and decide to declare independence as well as draft the articels of confederation. -

Americans took control of Breeds hill and held off the British.This battle is important because it showed that the war was going to last a long time and wouldn't be decided by a single battle. -
