Tennis for Two
Tennis For Two was the first ever computer game to be invented. The creater was a physicist called William Higinbotham. There was only one genre for this game and it was tennis/ping pong, also the platform was a anolog computer. I know that this game was the first ever computer game so i know that this is very important in the gaming timeline. Obvisoulsy there is no Competition to todays games but if it wasent for this game we might not have the games we play today. -
Space wars ( not exact date )
Spacewar was devolped by Steve Russell and was a space combat simulation game. The game was basically two space ships called "the Wedge" and "the neddle that flew around shooting each other avoiding the star in the middle. i have never played this original game but there is many different arcade vesions that i have played before so i can get the general idea of the game -
Corndog
Corndog was a project created by Ralph Bear that displayed on your television set. Ralph and Bill Harrison created a light gun. Ralph Bear continued with this project and created a prototype in 1968. You cold run different games including table tennis a target shooting. i also never herd of this game before doing the research so i havent got any views on this game -
Space Travel
Space war was created by a computer programmer called Ken Thompson. What the game consist of is different objects traveling around the solar system and you could try and land your spaceship on it. This was for the MULTICS operating system. i havent really got views on this because i have only found out about this game threw the reseach. -
PONG
Pong is the first genertion of video gaming, The game was bassed on a table tennis game (ping Pong). Pong wasnet the first ever video game, but it was the first to achieve widespread popularity. As u might know i wasent even born when this came out so i have never played the real thing. but, there is alot of arcade games bassed around this traditional game that i have played. It is very simplistic but also very addictive because u want to win. -
fairchild channel F
The Fairchild Channel F was manufactured by Fairchild Semiconductor. It was released in the Us and had a retail price of $169.95. It was the first game to have ROM cartridges. It was invented by Robert Noyce who left fairchild to start his own company called intel. seeing how i wasent allive in 1978 i never epericed a fairchild channel f but it looked like when it came out it was a xtreamy good consol. -
Space Invaders
Space invaders are a arcade video game designed by Tomohiro Nishikado and was released in 1978. Space invaders were one of the earliest shooting games. The aim of this game was to defeat different waves of aliens to earn points. The developer of this game was the Taito Corporation. Space invaders is a challanging game and tests your accuracy. It becoms harder because the more alien ships you kill and the futher they get down the screen the faster they get. so this tests your shooting skills. -
Pac Man
Namcom devolped an acrcade game in 1980 called Pacman but it was publlished by midway and disributed in the US. Pacman is know today to be one of the most classic of arcade games. Everybody knows about Pacman and this game has been put on to different platforms over the years. I have never been a fan of Pacman. the fort of jsut trying to collect the little dots while gettting chased by ghosts never interested me. But i know it was a good game injoyed by many other people. -
Famicom aka Nintendo Entertainment System
The Nintendo Entertainment Systerm was first launched in japan. The Nintendo was the first game consol to be launched after the big video game crash of 1983. I never owned this consol but it has always looked very interesting. Also, I dont think that it looks like a consol. i would like to play one of these consol though to see the difference in the gaming experience. -
Super Mario bros
Super Mario was desighned by Shigeru Miyamoto, Hiroshi Yamauchi and Takashi Tezuka. it was devolped and published by Nintendo EAD. This was the first of many more Mario series and it was a bit hit on the games market. Its that poplular if you ask someone about super mario your garentied that thier gonna know who he is. i have never owned a copy of super mario but i still know what the game is. but it wasent till i got older untill i started to play the games. but borrowed from friends -
Start of the Street Fighter Series
Street fighter first hit the scene in August 1987. This was a new era of fighting games created by Capcom. All you did was fight a series of computer controlled opponents with each fight lasting 30 seconds long. This was first released in arcades and then moved to a commodore 64. Street fighter in my opinion is one of the best fighting games ever. i love the use of different combos and characters and special moves. -
Sonic The Hedghog
This game was created by Sega, it was created to compete with nintendo Super Mario. This game was available for the Sega Mega Drive syterm. This was also the first game of many to yet come. There still a debate till this day which video game was better, Super Mario and Sonic the Hedghog. i always fort that sonic the hedghog was the better game. But i have always enjoyed playing super mario but prefer sonic. -
Sony Playstation
The Sony Playstation was released by Sony Computer Entertainment. The playstation used disk games instead of cartridges. Nintendo had been trying to work with disks since the famicom. When i owned my playstation i though it was the best consol ever. I think that the playstation was the start of something amazng for consols becasue of the whole concept of disks. i also belived that the games were really good for the plsyataion aswell. -
Golden eye
In 1997 rare created a game for the Nintendo 64 video game consol. This was the game GoldenEye007 and was a first person shooter. This game was extremely popular with reviewers and sold over eight million copies worldwide. This game was extremely popular for its multiplayer deathmatch modes and its incorporation of stealth. The game was that good for that time that it has been listed in the greatest video games of all time. I think that GoldenEye started a new ere for first perosn shooters. -
The Game Cube
The Nintedo Game Cub was the fourth video game console the Game Cube sold over 21.74 Million units worldwide. This consol Had to compete with come major consols like the Playstation 2 and the Mirosoft Xbox. In my opinion i didnt like this consol i though its was boaring and there wasent any amazing games. Also, i didnt like the control pads i though they were uncomfortable to use. -
XBOX 360
The Xbox 360 isthe secound console brough out by microsoft. The xbox 360 has something called xbox live, this is were u can conncet and play with people from around the world. It also has a new feature were you can create your own characters and play them in games. I belive that xbox360 is the best consol on todays market. This is because the online gaming experience is alot better then consols such as the NintendoWii and the Playstation 3. I also like the feature to download movies and demos. -
Nintendo Wii
The NintendoWii was released in the united kingdom on the 8th on December 2006 as a 7th generation consol. This consol was a new generation of the whole gaming experience. The consol allowed you to control your player’s movements by your own movements. This has brought new entertainment into homes around the world. I think that this consol is very impressive for it is very intelligent how it reacts to your movements.but, In my opinion, it is a party consol not one you can play seriouse games on
