Typography
Guttenberg invented movable typefaces, giving the world a cheaper way to obtain the written word. Up until this point, all written materials were done by hand, and were very costly to purchase. Guttenberg also created the first typeface, blackletter- it was dark, fairly practical, and intense, but not very legible.

Motion graphics
The history of motion graphics goes back further than Adobe After Effects. One of the first uses of the term "motion graphics" was by animator John Whitney, who Co-founded Motion Graphics, inc. in 1960 to create motion picture television title sequences. However, motion graphics dates back to before electronic media, sometime back in the 1800's with presentation flip books.

History of animation
The history of animation started long before the development of cinematography. Humans attempted to depict motion as far back as the Paleolithic period. Shadow play and the magic lantern offered popular shows with moving images as the result of manipulation by hand and/or some minor mechanics. In 1833 the phenkistiscope introduced the stroboscopic principle of modern animation, which would also provide the basis for cinematography. -

A flip book is a small book with relatively springy pages, each having one in a series of animation images located near its unbound edge.

Claymation
Clay-animated were produced in the United States as early as 1908.

2D Animation is the process of making hundreds of drawings and then having them animate by playing them in rapid succession. This the is most common form of animation, and has been used for several decades across several forms of media.

this process is used for many productions, for example, the most common types are clay.

The cel is an important innovation to traditional animation, as it allows some parts of each frame to be repeated from frame to frame, thus saving labor. Cutout animation is a form of stop motion animation using flat line characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or even photographs.
