Leaving Spain
Magellan and his men left from the port of Spain on September 20, 1519 to find the passage to the Pacific Ocean. This was day 1 of a 3 year journey. over 250 men started this journey but only 8 would return. -

Winter on the ship
Today we're enduring a very harsh winter. A lot of the men are starting to wish they wouldn't have come on this voyage. I can ionly hope that this winter won't last for mush longer. We,re going to anchor in Puerto San Julian for a while. -

Docking in Puerto San Julian
Puerto san Ju;ian is in Argentina. Magellan was 7 months into his hjourney when docking here.He docked because they needed shelter for the winter. -

Troubles on the journey
Today a terrible thing happened. One of our ships has capsised. All of the crew members were saved except for one of them. We only have four ships but we will still go on. -

We stopped here for supplies. We aren't staying here long. We'll keep searching for a passasge in a day or two. -

Strait to the Pacific
Today we have found a strait to the Pacific! After a year of searching we will continue along this and see where it takes us. The mood on the ship today was a happy one and I think it will be for a while. -

Phillipines
We're docking in a place called the Phillipines. There are a lot of people here. they seem to be at war. We'll dock here but continue cautiously. -

Magellans death
Today our Captain has died. He died by a couple of natives. We'er leaving Mactan, phillipines because of this incident. We'll continue our journey thanks to the second in charge. -

finally home
Today we finally landed back home. After a 4 year journey we,ve made it. Most of our crew died including the Captian Magellan. There are only 18 of us left but we,ve made it. -

Dock in Spain
September 6, 1522 Magellans ship landed back in Spain becoming the first ship to circumnavigate the globe. When they started they had five ships and 250 men when the got back to Spain they only had one ship and 18 men. Most of the men died including Magellan so he actually didn't complete the journey.
