    He wrote the Almagest. This treatise has defined astronomy for over 1,000 years. It included over 1,000 stars. It served as a basic guide for Islamic and European astronomers.

    He discovered the heliocentric theory of the solar system. He argued about how Earth turns around an axis daily. He also demonstrated the correct order of all the planets. All the planets revolve around the Sun. The heliocentric theory did end up being true.
