Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was the act that required many printed materials in the colonies carry a tax stamp. The printed materials were legal documents like newspapers and magazines. The purpose of the stamp act was to help pay for troops stationed in North America. The Stamp Act angured a lot of colonists because people were always reading the newspaper and then they had to start paying one cent tax for it which began to add up. -
Quartering Act
The quartering act was when the colonists had to allow the british troops take shelter in their homes. The colonists had to feed the troops and treat the troops like their own family while they were there. Which was very difficult for the colonists. -
Boston Massacre
The boston massacre was a conflict that broke out in Boston with British soldiers, they killed five innocent american colonists. That upset the colonists even more and that is what started the Boston Tea Party. -
Tea Act
The tea act was when Britian wanted to reassure that they could tax the colonists whenever and for whatever they wanted to. They were doing that because they needed to pay off their war debt. Britain was after the colonists money a lot and that began to angure they colonists so that is what lead to the Boston Tea Party. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston tea party was an action made by a bunch of colonists from boston. They dressed up like mohawk indians and dumped 45 tons of tea into the boston harbor. They did that because they were upset with what happen to the five colonists that were killed(boston masacre). Which lead to Britain shuting down the Boston Harbor which caused a lot of people to loose their job.
