As a child, my grandmother raised me. She only knew how to speak Spanish but she was learning English so she taught me both English and Spanish at the same time. Since I was kid learning everything at once I merged the two languages and it became Spanglish, which is a mixture of both. I didn’t make much since to other people, but my family understood me very well. When I started kindergarten I learned to separate English for school and Spanish at home.
