Stop Motion
Is the first type of animation. It is were you take clay objects and capture a still for each time sequence. You take each shot and move the clay a tiny bit and then take another chot. The first time Stop Motion was used was in 1898 by Albert E. Smith and J. Stuart Blackton for The Humpty Dumpty Circus. -
Animation with Filming
The first animated film was created by J. Stuart Blackton. He called it "Humorous phases of funny faces." His method was to draw comical faces on a blackboard and film them. He would stop the film, erase one face to draw another, and then film the newly drawn face. It made the people's expressions change before the audience's eyes. -
Mickey Mouse
In 1928 Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks and voiced by Walt Disney. Disney celebrates the birthday of Mickey Mouse because that is when Steamboat Willie was created. They created a Mickey six months ealier as Plane Crazy but Steamboat Willie was the first with sound. Kids still love Mickey Mouse and new episodes are still being made. -
3D movie
Toy Story is the first full-length 3D CG feature film. -
Avatar
Video explaining Avatar's animation The firtual effects/animation were started in 2004 because before then it was impossible to do the type of animations they needed for the movie. To achieve the facial expressions, the actors wore individually made skull caps fitted with a tiny camera positioned in front of the actors' faces. It collected the information about their facial expressions and eyes is then transmitted to computers.
