President Lincolns most famous speech. It was to the dedication of the Soldier's National Cemetary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. -
Appomattox Courthouse
The final engagment in Virginia. John Broun Gordon’s corps and Fitzhugh Lee’s cavalry formed line of battle at Appomattox Court House. Robert E. Lee was determined to make one last attempt at escaping the closing Union by getting to his supplies in Lynchburg.
