Agricultural Age:
During this time the people planted crops and consumed what they grew.They were both the consumer and the producer.
Education: The education during the first wave was based solely on individualized education or home schoolong.There was not a large need for education.
Technology: The technology from this wave was based on the need.Some of the invetions included widgets, pulleys, and and levers.
Families: The families lived together on the land they tended. -

Second Wave: Industrial Age
The industrial age brought about the rise of factories and mass peoduction.
Education: During this time children started going to school. They were grouped by ages and the use of television and videos were incorprated into the education.
Technology: Some of the technology of this wave included the telephone, transportation, newspapers and movies.
Families: Nuclear families working fathers, stay at home mothers. -

I believe that we are already in the first or what may even be the last stages of the fourth wave. I believe that the use of the internet has given us a vast array to communicate locally and globally. We use cell phones to send messages right away. Companies can get feedback on products immediately and improve their products. I do believe like Dr. Thornburg that communication is the fourth wave and that we are in it currently. -
