The Birth of a Genius
Galileo Galilei was born in Pisa, Italy. He was born to Vincenzio Galilei & Giulia Ammunnati. Vincenzio was a musician, who later moved to Florence, Italy to make better money. Galileo was always tutored from an early age. -

Japan Invades
Japan unsuccessfully invades Korea. Toyotomi Hideyoshi led the newly unified Japan into Korea. The second invasion later was also a fail. Japan tried for years, but they didn't prevail. -

Theory of the Sun is the Middle of the Universe
Copernicus makes Galileo beleive that the sun is the middle of the universe. He then became confident of the theory. Then he started doing tests to prove the theory. Later he was called to trial by the Pope to plead guilty for his actions of trying to prove Copernicus's Theory right. -
The Trial for Life
Galileo had to face the Roman Catholic Church. Pope Urban made Galileo plead guilty. Galileo fought back, but to no extent did the church agree with him. Pope Urban rigged the trial up and Galileo was put into house arrest. -
Where Thermometers Started
In 1593, Galileo invented the first thermometer. It was the first device to ever measure temperature. The thermometer was cylinder made out of glass with clear liquid in it. The thermometer was not was accurate at all. -

She was Galileo's love. He loved his daughter so and couldn't handle the pain when she died. She supported Galileo for everything he did. She was worried when Galileo was called for trial by the Pope. -

He invented the most powerful telescope, at that time. he started looking at the moon in December of 1609. He found Jupiter's moons. This also made him doubt if the earth was the center of the universe. Then Copernicus released his theory, making Galileo confident that the sun was the center of universe. -

The Mayflower sails to North America in 1620. Christopher Columbus was the captain of the ship. Christopher Columbus was greated by Native Americans. Christopher Columbus thought he was in India. -
Pope Urban
Pope Urban originally liked Galileo. He let him publish books about Copernicus's theory. Then Galileo published a book about the theory. Pope Urban was strong believer of Aristotle's theories and was in outrage. -
Death of a Child
Galileo's daughter died in April, 1634. It was hard on Galileo becuase he loved his daughter too much. So to take his mind off of his daughter's death he started testing Copernicus's theory. Virginia supported her father for whatever he did. -

The first printing press is made in 1639 at Cambridge,MA. THey started printing newspapers and documents. It made 3600 pages a day. The printing press took so many people to make mass productions of newspapers. -
A Death of a Man
Galileo died on Jan 8, 1642 at Arcertrio. Galileo was 77 years old when he died. He had asked to be buried next to his ancestors, but friends and family thought the Catholic Church would do something to him, so they buried him in a secret place. Later the church found him and cut his fingers off. -

The year Galileo died Isaac Newton was born. Isaac was born in Lincolnshire, England. He is most known for his theories of gravity. Isaac died 20 March, 1727.
