2nd Bank Charter
The 2nd bank charter was basically a renewal of the first national bank that was created in 1791, but was ended in 1811. Five years later, Jefferson made the 2nd national bank. It was brought back to organize finances. -
Jackson's Veto
Jackson vetoed the second national bank(which he wasn’t a fan of) by saying it was unconstitutional, was an injustice and wasn’t sound policy. -

Ending of deposits (Pet Banks)
Jackson stopped putting national money in banks and scattered it across a bunch of local banks. Jefferson made an announcement that the banks would not be accepting deposits after October 1. -
Species Circular
Species circular was an executive order that was issued by President Jackson that required that that payment for public lands have to be made in gold or silver. -
Election of 1836
United States presidential election was the 13th presidential election, held from Thursday, November 3 to Wednesday, December 7, 1836. Martin Van Buren won the election. -
Panic of 1837
The Panic of 1837 was caused by Jackson who created the Specie Circular order, after refusing to renew the charter of Second Bank of the United States, which led to the government funds to being withdrawn from the bank. The issue led to a financial crisis in the United States that basically cause a depression. -
Election of 1840
President Martin Van Buren lost which made him the 3rd president to not win reelection. The man who beat him is William Henry Harrison.
