- Collins gave a missionto the IRA, that killed 12 english agents (Cairo Gang) in the morning
- the same day, english "policemen" (paramilitary group) killed 14 and hurt 65 people, who were visiting a football match in Dublin because of revenge

Anglo-Irish Treaty
- official called the "Articles of Agreement for a Treaty between Great Britain and Ireland"
- was signed in London on the 6th of December 1921
- agreement between Great Britain and Ireland:
- Ireland become a free state with their own government
- Ireland would have the opportunity to join
either the Irish or British gouvernment

- 55.000 people fought for the Treaty and 15.000 against it

- 2000 up to 3000 people of the IRA died and 12.000 are detained

Michael Collins in Anglo Irish Treaty:- was the inofficial leader
- wasn't allowed to go to the first trial
- went to London with Arthur Griffith to the second trial and signed it
- build a new government and was the financial minister
- wanted to prohibit a civil war
- IRA took over the court house, killed a british general and kidnapped an Irish general
- Collins attacked the court house with canons, resigned his agencies and became the military leader
