    Took place in Montana.On December 21, 1866. Was between the Sioux, Cheyenne, the Arapaho warriors against army troops. The army were manning a fort on the Bozeman trail while a Sioux military leader acted as a decoy and lured the troops into a deadly trap. The fort commander sent a detachment of 80 soldiers in pursuit. Hundreds of warriors waited to ambushed the entire detachment.The winner of this was the warriors. the thing that is significant about this is the fact that the army was tricked
  • Treaty of Fort Laramine

    an agreement between the United States and the Lakota nation, Yanktonai Sioux, Santee Sioux, and Arapaho signed in 1868 at Fort Laramie in the Wyoming Territory, guaranteeing to the Lakota ownership of the Black Hills, and further land and hunting rights in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.

    Took place in Montanna. It was faught between The United States Army and Native Americans. The Sioux protested against trespassers. The gov. tired to buy the hills there because it was rumored to have gold. The sioux refused and gathered other warriors along the Little Bighorn river. The army was ordered to round up the warriors and put them in reservation. the winner of this battle was the US army. The significant thing about this is that the sioux won the other battle but they US army won this
  • Ghost Dance

    This took place in California through Oklahoma. a religious movement incorporated into numerous Native American belief systems. This was performed by Native Americans and passed on by many people. Whats imporatant about this event is that this was created by a native american and it swept through california to Oklahoma and its traditionally used.
  • Wounded Knee

    Took place in the South western part of South Dakota on Dec. 29 1890. Faught between whites and Native Americans. Serval hundred Sioux gathered at a creek called Wounded Knee. The Army went there to collect the Sioux weapons. No one knows how the fight was started when a pistol shot was fired the army responeded. 200 Sioux and 25 soldiers were killed. The significant thing about this battle would be the fact that no one knew why this faught broke out.
