    DECEMBER 21, 1866 soldiers were manning a fort on the brozman trailthis trail was used for prospecters to rach the gold mines in montanna The sioux military leader called crazy horse acted as a decoy and 80 solderiers were tricked into a trpp and all of them were killed.

    novemeber 29 1864 the indians wanted peace. But the union general samuel Curtis sent a telagram to chivington telling him he did not want peace he wanted the indians to suffer more. so he led 700 troops to go ambush indians with an american flag and their flag symbalizing peace but he ignored this and whent forth.killing nearly 150 and wounding many more with no mercy after this many indian swore war against the whitman.

    the battle of little big horn was a great victory for sitting bull and crazy horse becasue they did not want to sell their land not even a pinch of dust said sitting bull so a general george custter led an army of 250 but was crushed by the indians. But later on the indians weere overwhelmed and decided to flea north to cannada starving.

    in 1890 the ghost dance was a dance that the indians performed in the dakota area and it was supposed to help them regain their greatness and express their culture but it was soon banned and the us thought that sitting bull was the leader and tried to aresst him but there was a scufle which sitting bull died

    Because of sitting bulls death many lakota sioux fled to a creek called wounded knee. Then on December 29, 1890 an army went to the creek to collect the siouxs weapens no one knows how the battle was started but a shot rang out and 200 sioux indians were killed and 25 soldiers were also killed.

    the treaty of dort laramie was in 1868 this reaty did not last for the thindians because the americans went against their word. they went into the black hills because they found gold. The miners demanded protection from the indians so soldiers went in and were anihalated but the united states would continue its battle with the sioux indians for the black hills of dakota
