    When the gold rush started it had brought alot of miners over. That angered the native americans. After a while the indians became even more angry, that they stared burning down wagons trains, mining camps, and stagecoach lines.After that the violence between miners and indians increased. John Chivington started violence sending his troops to kill off all indians.The indians fought back. After a while the indians decided they were ready for peace.
  • Fetterman Massacre

    Fetterman Massacre
    One of the bloodiest incident. The Native Americans set a deadly trap and lead the troops into the trap. They tricked the commender to snd about 80 soldiers in pursuit. Hundreds of warriors were waiting to ambush and wipeout every single person.
  • Treaty of Fort Laramie

    Treaty of Fort Laramie
    This was an agreement between the United States and four different indian tribes. This treaty "ensured the civilization". When gold prospecters crossed the boarder and violated the treaty, the four different indians attacked them. Then because of what the indians did a war broke out. Later, the Native Americans and the United States went to court. It was a win for the Indians. The Indians were offered money, but instead they wanted their land back from the US.

    A ship known as "Blood Hound". This ship was made for artic exploration. The boat was meant to go to the north pole.
  • Battle at Little Bighorn.

    Battle at Little Bighorn.
    A victory for the Native americans who were lead by Sitting Bull. They defeated a troop of seven hundred. The Battle of Little Big Horn is also known as "Custer's Last Stand.". Custered was killed, along with other family members. This battle really didnt do anything to harm the Indians population.

    Ghost Dance is a religious ritual performed by the Sioux Tribe, Jack Wilson showed the indians this ritual. After he taught them the ritual it quickly spread through the west.
  • Wounded Knee

    Wounded Knee
    Alot of Sioux Indians fled in fear after Sitting Bull's death. They all went to a creek called wounded knee in South Dakota. No one knows how the fighting started, but once the pistol went off. the army responded with fire.
