Wilt chamberlain set the all time record for most points scored in a single game as he scored 100 points to his teams ( philadelphia warriors) won 169-147 against the new york knicks . This record has stood for over 4 decades! it is believed that no one will break this record for ages to come. -
The Logo
The NBA was locked in a bitter battle against it's rival the ABA and was begining to lose and fans were declining.The NBA needed something to keep them relevant and put the ABA away. and that's when it happened one of the worlds most famous logos came to live as Alan siegel had seen a picture of Jerry West that he believed captured what the game was all about. Although it has done good for the NBA they are reluctant to akcnowledge that the logo that saved the company was of an individual. -

Game 5 on the road for chicago bulls something incredible occured something so iconic! a momment so sublime that it was given nothing but a simple phrase "the shot". this shot reffers to arguably the best shot in nba history by arguably the best player in nba history. with 3.2 seconds left on the clock chicago bulls trailing 99-100 on a finals away game Micheal Jordan gets the inbound drives to the ring and pulls up! the buzzer goes the crowd silences and the shot drops! Jordan wins it! -

Magic johnson officially states that he will be retiring due to the fact that he had contracted HIV. this news shocked not just the NBA fans and but the whole sporting world because Magic Johnson was one of the biggest stars if not the biggest star of his time. This news had completely changed the way people looked at HIV as it was clearly obvious that it could also affect Straight people.
