Genesis 27:42-45 states that Rebekah, Jacob's mother, learned that Esau wanted to kill Jacob because he took his blessing given by their father Isaac. This story connects to a passage located in Matthew 2:13-23. This passage talks about Herod is going to find baby Jesus and kill him. God told Joseph that they needed to flee to Egypt. Both had a part to play in being told to flee. -

This passage from Luke 22:47-53 explains Judas' betrayal towards Jesus. Judas brought Roman officials with him and captured Jesus to bring him ultimately to his cruxification. This relates to Jacob betraying his brother by taking the birthright away from him in Genesis 27. Both were betrayed, but one in NT by Judas and Jesus, and one in OT by Esau and Jacob. -

Abraham was a faithful servant: He did whatever God told him to do and he did it well. One time, God gave him a test. He told Abraham to bring his son, Isaac, up onto Mount Moriah and offer him as a sacrifice. Just as Abraham was going to kill his son, God stopped him and offered lambs and ram as the sacrifice instead. God was merciful and didn't kill Abraham's only son, which will continue his line of descendants forever. God's glory reigns forever. -

Scripture Reference: Genesis 12:1-2. This passage talks about how God promised Abraham that he will have a great nation. We can see this in the news constantly where people refer to a "Greater Israel", which means the promised land which God promised in Genesis 12:1-2. Even the minister of Israel admitted there was a Greater Israel, but they don't want it to relate now. -

Biblical Passage: Genesis 37. This passage talks about how Jacob treated Joseph the best, and that Joseph was being mistreated by his brothers. I fought with my brother who was younger than me because I felt that he got all the attention from my parents. I felt that my parents didn't care about me and only cared about him. I prayed, but I wasn't patient. In the end, I realized that my parents love each and every single one of us equally, and I will treat others the way I want to be treated.
