God continues to advance his mission by giving us another way to rid ourselves of sin and be with him again. We are like Isaac, where without God's glory, we would be killed, but to reflect his glory, God provides another way, like how with Abraham he was given a lamb to sacrifice, and with us, we were given Jesus. https://biblehub.com/timeline/old.htm

Genesis 45:5 is about Joseph forgiving his brothers for selling him into slavery. We can see a theme between the death of Jesus and Joseph being sold into slavery. Both of them are bad things that happened, and both of them were carried out by a mob, where in Jesus' death we have almost everyone around Jesus, and with Joseph we have his brothers. Also, good came out of both of these events. Jesus is sacrificed for our sins, and Joseph saves all of Egypt and his family. biblehub.com/timeline

Matthew 17:2-3 is about Jesus transfiguring before his disciples and Elijah and Moses appearing beside him. This event connects Jesus with other very important followers in the OT. The fact that Elijah and Moses appeared right next to Jesus is saying that Jesus is just as great as these legends of the OT, if not even greater since God mentions that Jesus is his son. What this is telling us is that the coming of Jesus is like all the other great events in the OT, but better.

In around middle school, I accepted Christ. This event can be connected to the time when Abraham almost killed Isaac. I'm like the Isaac in the story, where if it weren't for Christ, there would've been no hope for me. However, I chose to accept Christ, so he would take my place, like how in Genesis 22:13 a lamb appeared from God to take Isaac's place, so that Isaac wouldn't have to die.

In Genesis 15:5, God tells Abraham that his sons will be so vast that it would be impossible for Abraham to count. In April 2018, the Jewish population (i.e. Abraham's descendants), was estimated to be about 14511000. Abraham would've definitely not been able to grasp just how many descendants he would have, and he definitely wouldn't be able to count the amount of Jewish people currently alive.
