    Abraham Almost Sacrificing Isaac (Moriah)

When God tested Abraham to see if he fully obeyed God, Abraham obeyed and was about to kill his only son. God wanted to test Abraham and see if he was willing to give up his all. Because of Abraham's steadfast faith, God blessed him even more. God would not have allowed Isaac to die because he had promised Abraham earlier that he would pass down his descendants. With Isaac, Joseph and David also came from him, then Jesus, whom was God's only son and became the perfect sacrifice to save everyone.

    Joseph Typology Part 1

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers because his brothers resented him and wanted him dead. In the end, he became second-in-command of Egypt and saved them from the famine that was about to arrive (Genesis 50:20). This was like Jesus, who died for us because the Pharisees and Jews resented him and wanted him dead. Although we had intended evil , God had a plan for him saving the lives of all of us through his death (Acts 2:23-24). Source: https://biblehub.com/timeline/

    Joseph Typology Part 2

Both stories below were examples of God allowing evil for the greater good:
Although the Jews had intended evil on Jesus, God had preserved Christ through death (Acts 2:23-24). Without Christ, we are all not saved and unable to spend eternal life with God. Similarly, Joseph's brothers sold Joseph into slavery. Without him being sold to slavery, he would never have saved anybody from the famine (Genesis 50:20), potentially killing all in Israel's household and his descendants, the Israelites.

In Genesis 19:26, Lot's wife disobeyed God and looked back at the flaming city, instantly becoming a pillar of salt. Although God's instructions in the Bible are clear and precise, I constantly look back to things that I could've done if I didn't follow God's instructions. Even if I was sure that I wasn't going to do them, I might even gain jealousy on people who were "having fun." Much like Lot's wife, it is hard for me to give up pleasures of my life and only look forward in the path of God.
  • God's Covenant with Abraham Fulfilled Today

God said that Abraham and his descendants must keep their covenant with God (Genesis 17:9). Today, many Jews have become Muslims or reject the legitimacy of Christ. Because of so, the Israelites are constantly in turmoil against the Palestinians (noticeably Gaza). Two weeks ago, 7 were injured after a rocket attack at Israel. The Israelites, trying to rely on their own strength, have forsaken God and are now threatened by foreign nations for they have not kept their side of the covenant.
