Mount Moriah - Abraham almost sacrificing Isaac
In this story, God continued to advance His mission to reflect His glory because God used this event as a test to Abraham. This story is also a huge typology to Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. It foreshadowed how Jesus was going to be sent by His loving Father to die on the cross for our sins.

Jacob Typology part 1
Jacob and his twin brother, Esau were born in 1873 BC. In Genesis 25:23 it says “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.” This shows that even before birth, Jacob was the chosen and beloved one, which connects to the NT because Jesus was the chosen one, God's beloved son, before everything.

Jacob Typology part 2
In John 8:42 it says, "Jesus said to them, 'If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me.'" This shows that God sent Jesus to Earth to die for our sins and chose him to do so before everything. This connects to the OT because even before birth, Jacob was the chosen and beloved one.

Genesis 39:23 "The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did." But even though we went through hard times where he was jobless, he always ended up getting a new job that caused us to move, which was always a blessing. God has given my dad success in each job he's had -

Israel - How can we see God's covenant with Abraham being fulfilled today?
There are 3 religions that are referred to as Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In Genesis 17:4, it says, "'As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.'" This clearly is fulfilled today as three of the biggest religions in the world all believe in Abraham being the "father of their faith" essentially.
