Jacob Typology Part 1
May God give you heaven’s dew
and earth’s richness—
an abundance of grain and new wine.
May those who curse you be cursed
and those who bless you be blessed.”
In Genesis 27, we read of Isaac's blessing to Jacob. In this blessing, we see that Isaac blesses him with prosperity, and God will bless people who bless Jacob. In the New Testament, instead of Jesus being blessed, we are blessed through Jesus, and we are saved through him. -

Jacob Typology Part 2
We are blessed through Jesus Christ. In Genesis 27, Jacob is blessed with all these different things, including wine and grain. In the New Testament, we learn that we are blessed through Jesus. In Ephesians 1, we read of these different blessings. Also, in Genesis 27, we see that Jacob is blessed with wine. In one of Jesus' miracles, we see that Jesus is able to turn water to wine. From this miracle, we see that Jacob's blessings has been passed down to his descendants. -

Personal Reflection
Throughout my life, I have experienced accidents. But through those accidents, God was able to turn those accidents into good. For example, one time, whilst biking, I crashed into another person and injured myself very seriously, due to the brakes not working properly. From that experience, I was able to learn different lessons. From Joseph's life, we see that even something that looks bad, like Joseph being sold into slavery, can turn into something good. -
Israel - God's covenant with Abraham being fulfilled
Even to this day, we can still see Israel, God's chosen people, residing in the area of Canaan. In God's covenant with Abraham, God told Abraham that he would give the land of Canaan to Abraham's descendants, and even to this day, Israel is still in God's promised land.

Mount Moriah - Abraham almost sacrificing Isaac
In Chapter 22, after Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac, God blesses Abraham. In verse 18, God says that the earth will be blessed through Abraham. In the New Testament, we learn that Jesus is a descendant of Abraham. From this, we see God fulfilling his mission on earth by blessing us through Jesus.
