Moriah, Abraham almost Sacrificing Isaac
Through this experience, God tests Abraham's faith. Abraham was willing to trust in God and sacrifice his one and only beloved son. Even though in the end he didn't actually sacrifice Isaac, God sacrificed His one and only beloved son, Jesus. This was a foreshadowing of how God sacrificed Jesus for us because He loves us so much. In this story, it also shows God is a God who provides. After stopping Abraham from sacrificing Isaac, he provided a sacrificial ram for them. -

Jacob Typology part 1
Genesis 35 and Romans 9:9-13
Jacob is chosen by God to be Israel and chosen to be the one God uses to fulfill His will for His people. God chose Jacob long before he did any good work, as it says in Romans. God can use broken, unbelieving people, like Jacob, to further His kingdom and bring him glory. Link:

Jacob Typology part 2
Romans 9:9-13
God knew Jacob was going to fail him and sin, but yet he chose Jacob to make His electing purpose stand. In Genesis, countless times Jacob fails and disobeys, yet God still forgives him and uses him for God's glory. Jacob becomes Israel and the father of Israel, all God's people. Without Jacob, the Jews in the NT wouldn't exist. Around 57-58 AD

Hong Kong, God's Providence
In Genesis 45, Joseph tells his brother how everything happening seemed bad, it all led to God's greater purpose which brought immense amounts of good. Two years ago, my dad had cancer. He had surgery on Christmas Eve and our family trip to Canada was canceled. I was so frustrated with God for letting that happen to my dad. But because of that experience, my faith was strengthened and my dad became stronger and healthier than ever because it made him motivated to keep his body healthy. -
World, Fulfilment of Abrahamic Covenant
In the world today, almost half of the world considers Abraham as their "father" in a sort of way. The three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Islam (1.8 billion), and Christianity (2.4 billion) all believe in Abraham as the father of their religion. God promised to make Abraham the father of many nations (refer to Genesis 17:14), and we can see today how Abraham is the father of these three religions, all containing a diverse mix of races of people.
