China Moon Rover Lands on Moon
China has become the first country in 37 years to land a spacecraft on the Moon. They've announced that their unmanned craft has successfully landed on a flat area called the Bay of Rainbows. It makes China the third country to send a craft to land on and explore the Moon's surface. A six wheeled robotic rover named Yutu will now explore and carry out scientific experiments. It's a big step for Chinese space authorities who say one day they hope to send a man to the Moon too. -

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing that lost contact with air traffic control less than an hour after takeoff. Around 7, Malaysia Airlines reported the flight missing. The plane was carrying 12 crew members and 227 passengers from 14 countries. There has been no confirmation of any flight debris and no crash site has been found. -

South Korean Ferry Sinks
Fears rose Thursday for the fate of 287 passengers still missing more than 24 hours after their ferry flipped onto its side and filled with water off the southern coast of South Korea.
There were 475 people aboard - many of them high school students on a class trip - and frantic parents have gathered at their school near Seoul and in Mokpo in the south of the country, not far from where the ferry slipped beneath the surface until only the blue-tipped, forward edge of the keel was visible. -
