  • Google Hangout

    Google introduces their own instant messaging and video/voice calling. This is possible through an Internet connection.
  • Instagram Releases Video Option

    To compete with the rise of Vine, Instagram created their own way of making and sharing videos. They introduced their own feature of sharing videos through their app.
  • Amazon Alexa

    Alexa is a smart home feature but this feature is also able to interact and give many responses based on music, to-do lists, weather updates, traffic reports, etc.. Alexa can be considered as a virtual assistant, and was created by Amazon.
  • Google Home

    Google Home is a system that allows users to speak voice commands into their speakers which Google Home followed. This is a smart home feature and idea.
  • Vine Dies

    The app Vine grew to 200 million users, but the ability to upload videos was made unavailable. Vine users could no longer upload videos, but they could sill view.
