Zappos, the online shoe store, was hacked. It exposed 24 million users personal information. The information exposed consisted of e-mail addresses, addresses, phone number, partial credit card numbers. The company then had to reset its customers passwords. The customers were told to change their login credentials. -
Whitney Houston dies
ABC NewsThe former singer was found face down in a bathtub filled with water. Evidence says that there was signs of drug abuse around the scene. It was confirmed that she died of accidential drowning. She died in her hotel room in Beverly Hills. -

Tornado Outbreak in the South
Washington postThe outbreak went through the Tennessee, Ohio Valley, and other parts of the South. 45 twisters were confirmed, but as the day went by a total of 128 tornados were varifed. 13 tornados of EF-3 or higher were confirmed in 7 states (AL, KY, GA, TN, IN, OH, WV). It caused a total death toll of 39. -
1 Year Anniversary
April 9th was my anniversary with my boyfriend, Raymond. We had our first year together. That was a very special day for us. We just went out for dinner at Olive Garden and to the movies that day. However, the weekend following was when we really celebrated. We went to Gatlinberg with my sisters and just had a blast. A day I will definitely remember. -

Curiosity Rover lands on Mars

The Rover, Curiosity, that was sent into space safely landed on Mars. This was a major accomplishment to NASA. There was doubts about the status of U.S leadership in space, but this proved all those doubts wrong. There has been only one other country, Soviet Union, to land on Mars succesfully in 1971. However, it fell shortly after landing. -
Mia is born
The month of September was probably the most crazy month out of 2012. My niece, Mia Isabella, was born. She is my pride and joy even if she's not my daughter! I love her with all my might. What makes it even more special is that she is the first grandchild ever born in our family. It was truely an amazing experience to see her being born. Although we had long days in labor and it was extremely painful for my sister, it is a day that I will cherish forever. This was the begining of our forever. -

It also left thousands of people homeless, triggered gas shortages, and caused a damage of billions of dollars. 8,000 homes of victims were left without power and some even lasted without power for weeks. -
