GM Bailout
In 2010, General Motors went bankrupt and the government thought it was too big to fail. So, the government lent GM $53 Billion in taxpayer money to help support the company and bring it out of bankruptcy. Since then, GM has only paid back $39 Billion.

On October 12 2011, the U.S senate passed a treaty with south korea eliminating 95% of tariffs on goods within 5 years. It also created new protections for multinational financial services and other firms. Government Shutdown
The government shutdown belongs to the budget category. This is becuase the government shutdown because Congress could not agree on a budget or funding for the government. This shuts down the non-essential elements of the government until funding can be agreed on. This happened because Congress is just bickering rich people who could
