First camera phone

2000

Sony built the J-Phone J-SH04, the first phone with an integrated camera.

Xbox

2001

Four engineers from Microsoft- Kevin Bachus, Seamus Blackley, Ted Hase, and Otto Berkes designed a new Window-based console later named Xbox.

Blu-ray optical disc

2003

Designed to store high-definition video at 1080p while older DVDs were only capable of 480p.

Nintendo Wii

2006

Released by the Nintendo Company of Japan in 2006. Introduced a new way of playing games with motion sensors. Has sold more than a hundred million units worldwide.

First iPhone

2007

Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple launches the iPhone.
