Nintendo 64 Launches in NA (and, EU in March of the following year) and, introduces another competitor to Sony's first PlayStation. The Nintendo 64 served as an introduction to video games for many in the following years. Super Mario 64 serves as one of its most popular games and is widely praised for its cutting-edge use of 3d graphics, at the time. Falls under fifth generation consoles. -
Sega Dreamcast Release (NA)
Marks the beginning of the sixth generation of at-home video game consoles. The last console for Sega would produce, up to present day. It was outshined by its competitors in many ways but, was one of the first consoles to allow for online multiplayer.
