    Description: Linus Torvalds created Linux, an open-source operating system that was available to anyone. Linux had a GNU License meaning anyone could use, modify, and redistribute his source code. Today, Linux is used in a variety of different applications, primarily in server environments.

    Inventor: Tim Berners-Lee
    Description: The world wide web, created by Tim Berners-Lee created a standard way for servers to talk to clients. This protocol was called HTTP and allowed documents to be shared over the internet. Today, we have HTTPS which is a more secure version of HTTP.

    Description: Mosaic was one of the earliest web browser with a graphical user interface. This graphical user interface allowed those who weren't that technical to be able to experience the web. Mosaic led to our modern web browsers and the ease of access of the internet we have now.
