    The very first text message was invented by Neil Papworth. The message was "Merry Christmas" and it was sent on a PC, since cell phones didn't have keyboards.

    The first playstation was released in Japan and was made by Sony. It sold for around $390. It was a huge hit when released to the public and is one of Sony's most popular items.
  • DVD'S

    DVD'S
    The Digital Video Disk was created in 1995 and released in 1996. Multiple companies worked together to create the DVD and agree on the best format. It was the replacement for the VHS that was previously used for watching movies.
  • Nintendo 64

    The Nintendo was also released in Japan. It was the first console to have an analog stick as the primary controller. It was the break through for the gaming industry because of the aiming precision.
  • Google

    Google
    The co-founders of Google are Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The two were writing a program for a search engine and eventually registered the domain "google.com" for it in 1997. It soon became the largest search engine. Google became a company in September of 1998.
