    Microsoft Office Tools were created by Richard Brodie and Charles Simonyi. Microsoft Office Tools contained 3 applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This enhanced our lives by making a word processor, spreadsheet/data program, and presentation software accessible. Microsoft Office still exists today, but consists of several different applications compared to the three. It still plays a vital role in workplaces.

    The World Wide Web (WWW) is an information system that was launched to the public on August 6, 1991. It was created by Tim Berners-Lee. The WWW created a way for people to compile and browse information all in one system. To this day the World Wide Web is the main way people interact with the internet. It's also where the "www." comes from in a URL address.

    USB Cable and Ports were invented in 1996. It was developed through a joint effort between seven companies: Compaq, DEC, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, and Nortel. The goal was create something to streamline peripherals for computers. Today USB's are the most common type of charging port for personal devices. If you're computer peripherals aren't built in or Bluetooth, they're probably connected through USB's.

    Google started as a search engine created by Larry Paige, Sergey Brin, and unofficially Scott Hassan. It used an algorithm called "PageRank" to cypher through websites to find adequate results for any given question. Google is the most used search engine to this day. It enhances our lives by giving us the ability to find information for ourselves.

    The GeForce was released on October 11, 1998. It was created by the company NVIDIA. It is hailed as "the World's First GPU." The GeForce 256 brought massive improvements to video games and frame rates. The GeForce line has led to massive improvements in the quality of video games being produced. The more access people have to quality GPU's, the more details can go into a game.
