Prime minister Trudeau brings the consitution from Britain back home to Canada with Charter of Rights for the freedom on 17 April, 1982. It is significance because it is a moment that represent Canada's independence. -

It is a package of proposed amendments to the Constitution of Canada negotiated for improve the rights in 1987 by Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and the 10 provincial premiers. It is significance because it makes huge difference to the Consitution. -

The charlottetown accord was submitted to a public referendum on October 26 1992, of that year, and it was defeated.It is significant because if the accord pass, it will make Quebec independent. -
Québec referendum
The 1995 Quebec referendum was the second referendum to ask voters in Quebec whether Quebec should proclaim national sovereignty and become an independent state or not, with the condition precedent of offering a political and economic agreement to Canada. It is significant because if the referendum pass, Quebec will seprate from Canada to become a country. -
The creation of Nunavut
Nunavut joined Canada and become the largest territory in Canada on Apirl 1, 1999. It is significant because Canada have more lands and became the second largest conutry. -
Clarity Act
The Clarity act pass at house of commons and becomes the Bill 20 in 2000. It is significant because Bill 20 gives effect to the requirement for clarity set out by the Supreme Court of Canada in the Québec Secession Reference -
Canada and the Iraq War
The government of Canada did not at any time formally declare war against Iraq on March 17, 2003. It is significant because it shows that Canada has their own thinking and it is neutral , it wants to keep peace. -
Canada in Winter Olympic Games
Canada had the greatest performance recently at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where Canadian athletes won 26 medals. It is significant because Canada won the most medals on winter olympic in history.
