  • Camcorder

    Camcorder
Invented by Jerome Lemelson The camcorder provided families the opportunity to make home videos. Memories could be made that last forever and in a better way than with a still picture. Today we just take out our phones, record videos and instantly upload them to social media and the camcorder was the first big step towards that.
  • Databank Watch

    Databank Watch
Invented by Casio The first ever smartwatch. The Databank watch came with a calculator which in the 1980’s was a big deal. They still sell these to this day and even after 40 years they haven't really changed much, which speaks volumes. This was hands down one of the first steps towards the smart watches that we have today.
  • Nintendo Entertainment System

    Nintendo Entertainment System

  • Epson ET-10

    Epson ET-10
Invented by Shonai Denshi Kogyo Co., Ltd The first ever on the go television. As a sports fan I can’t imagine life prior to the Epson ET-10, sure you had the radio but listening to the game just isn't the same as watching it. This was the first step towards being able to stream sports or tv shows on your phone, tablet or laptop.
  • Nintendo Gameboy

    Nintendo Gameboy
Invented by Gunpei Yokoi For the first time, gamers were able to take their entertainment outside. I can’t remember the last time I took a flight or was a passenger on a road trip that I didn't play games on my phone. The Nintendo Gameboy set the standard for games to be played wherever you wanted to play them.
