Gary Kildall - He develops the first successful operating system for microcomputers. CP/M made it possible for one version of a program to run on a variety of computers built around eight-bit processors. -

The Death Star briefing featured a wide-frame version of the space station. Which was one of the first uses of wireframe animation in a major motion picture. -
Atari Introduces Model 400 and 800 Computer

Not long after the Atari VCS game console came out, they designed two microcomputers with game abilities. The 400 was mainly a game console and the 800 was more of a personal home computer. Atari's computers were influential in the art's as well!
