  • First TV Debate (Kennedy-Nixon)

    Candidates used the television to campaign, a technique which Kennedy perfected.
  • The Berlin Wall

    The Berlin Wall is built. Millions of people escaped through Eastern Berlin. In 1961, East Germans and the Soviets had enough. They built a wall to prevent escape.
  • Cuban Missile Crisis

    Soveits are caught out by the Americans building Nuclear Missiles on Cuban grounds and a blockade is ordered. A deal is cut between the Soviets and Americans to safely overcome the problem.
  • March On Washington

    Martin Luther King Jr gives his "I Have a Dream" Speech which lead to the development of human rights and equality in human racism.
  • JFK Assasination

    JFK is assasinated in Dallas on a trip.
  • Bloody Sundays

    Protest is lead for the act of civil rights on the Pettus Bridge in Alabama, which leads to injuries and deaths in black civils.
  • The Tet Offensive

    A vietnam communists war attack is launched on every major city in Vietnam to scare of the American troops, the attack was televised in America which scared off many family members. This lead to the defeat of the Americans in North Vietnam.
  • Assasination of Martin Luther King Jr

    Assasin murders Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Democratic National Convention

    Protesters filled the streets of Chicago for the convention.
  • Moon Landing

    Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first two to walk on the moon, this represented a major achievement in Lunar explorations.
