    My grandpa, on my dad's side, was born in 1947, November 14th. He was born into the "baby boom" generation. He was born in Manhattan Kansas. ( I don't have any photos of him)

    Brown V. Board of Education was one of the very crucial civil rights cases. To summarize, this was the debate about the racial segregation of schools, even 60 years later there is still some debate about this very case. It also helped over turn the "separate but equal" doctrine This event happened in Topeka, Texas.

Which then grew to be a cold war. what made it grow out to be such a cold war started by "attacks on two U.S. destroyers by North Vietnamese torpedo boats in the Gulf of Tonkin on August 5, 1964." according to bitannica.com.

    The Montgomery Bus Boycott was a protest of Native Americans refusing to take buses in order to try to stop the racial discrimination that they faced while just going on the bus. This protest lasted more than a year, starting on December 5th 1955 to December 20th 1956. Soon before the protest was when Rosa Parks got arrested for not sitting in the back of the bus, which is what provoked the protest.

    The little rock nine started when nine students was met with an horde of angry people when going to their first day of school. after not being able to go to school due to the mob, they were escorted by federal troops on the 29th of September.

    The March on Washington was a huge protest that contained at least 250,000 people all together right at Lincoln Memorial. The protest was about equality in jobs and freedom. Not only that, but that was also when M.L.K jr made his brilliant speech, I have a dream. this was held on August 28, 1963.

    JFK was shot in the neck and head by Lee Harvey Oswald while riding a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. He was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. His death caused sadness amongst all, a new president, theories, and the arrest of Lee Harvey.

    Lyndon B. Johnson was the vice president for John F. Kennedy. When Kennedy was tragically assassinated, Johnson took place as the president. He served as president for 6 years as the 36th president.

    Muhammad Ali, a boxer, refused to fight for the army, He was then fined $10,000, prison for 5 years, and banned from boxing for 3 years. Though, his case was appealed and he was able to go back into the ring.

    James Brown created an song album called, "Say it Loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud" in 1968. The songs were about black pride and it made it in the top ten of "Billboard Hot 100".

    M.L.K was one of the most iconic person in the civil rights movement. He was a hero to many then, and even more in death. He was assassinated by James Earl Ray via riffle. King shared his wisdom to all. And even when Ray killed him, it just added gasoline to the fire. causing his message to be even more widely known. He really was a king.

    Bobby Hutton was 17 male, and apart of the Black Panther Party. On April 4th 1968, He was apart of an ambush on the police. It ended up with 2 police being injured. They soon got surrounded by police and when Bobby surrendered, he was shot instead. Though his death was not in vain. For because of him, the Black Panther Party was able to be at it's peak.

    M.L.K was the most iconic part of the civil rights movement. He was a huge part of the movement, so his death was even more. M.L.K was assassinated on 1968, April 4th. in Memphis, Tennessee. James Earl Ray was proven guilty of Kings death. Though even in death he still made an even greater impact on the civil rights movement. He really was a king.

    Bobby Hutton was apart of an ambush on the police of Oakland that the Black Panther Party arranged. It ended up in two injured cops, and one dead person. Right when Bobby Hutton surrendered to the police, he got shot. and lived on to be a hero.

    My Dad, now 40 years old, was born on February 14th 1982, or valentines day. His name is Matthew Stewart, and he was born in Denver Colorado. My dad saved my life. When ever I was at my worst, I could always talk to him. I owe my everything. He's a single dad, yet he has been able to do so much for me. Like take me to school, cook me food, and much, much more. I wish I could do more for him. I love him with all of my heart.

    My birthday is December 7th. My full name is Georgia Olivier-Stewart, and I was born in Denver Colorado. I am 11 years old, and I have many years to come. I have overcome and or overcoming a lot of trauma in life, and I don't expect for this to be the last. But I'm proud of myself for making it this far either way.

    George Floyd Uprise
    George Floyd was 46 years old before he died. On May 25th, 2020 a police officer choked him to death by used his knee to pin him down on his neck and held that position for 10 minutes. The only thing the Floyd did was use a counterfeit 20$ bill. Though that provoked what is thought to be the largest protest in U.S. Also known as the B.L.M protest. Sadly, he wasn't the only one either. Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor were also murdered. It's sad that this only happened 2 years ago.
