A army private reports to the camp hospital before breakfest for a fever, headach, and a sore throat. Then after that more and more soliders are coming in with the same complains. By noon that day the hospital had delt with more than 100 sick soliders. -

There were sailor that reported the sympotons of the grippe. There were 60 sailors ill by August 30. -
Epidemic alert!!!!
Dr. John Hitchcock alerted the Massachusetts Department of Health that there is an epidemic. "Unless there are percausions are taken, the diease will spread amoung the civillians." -
Camp Devens
Dr. Victor Vaugh was given a notice to report to camp Devens, to obsereve the flu effects. Once he had arived, there were 63 men dead because of Influenza. Navy radio from Harvard, reported that 3,000 young men had been killed by the flu. -
General Rupert Blue
General Ruperpert a US surgeon, reported to the newspapers about ways to reconize the symptoms. Once one has found these sympotoms, then bed rest, good food, salt quinine, and asprin. -
Down playing
San Francisco public health had been down playing the flu. The damange from the deaths were much greater because they not taking the right steps to stopping the spread. -
Cancelling of the Liberty parade
In Boston 202 deaths were reported, after the deaths were reported then they went on to cancelle the Liberty Parade. -
Estimation
On December 4,1918 the U.S Public health services said that there were about 300,000- 350,000 civilian deaths due to Influenza. -
Chief Clerk
The chief clerk of the Navjo Indian reservation in Apache County, New Mexico, reported that the Influenza had taken the lives of 2,000 natives. -
New cases
There were 454 new cases of Influenza in Boston in a single day. -
Into the new year
The epidemic continues into 1919 and kill more than 600,000 people. This was said to be the worst in US history.
