    In 1921 President Harding signed the Emergency Quota Act. This limited immigration into the United States. The Act was put into effect because the U.S. was anti-immigrant. If a country was liked more by the U.S. that country had a higher quota than other countries.

    The World Series was broadcasted in October of 1921. This was significant because it was broadcasted on the radio for the very first time. The New York Giants went up against The New York Yankees and emerged with a record of 5-3 games.

    Fordney-McCumber Act of 1922
    The Fordeny-McCumber Act of 1922 raised tariffs. When Congress passed this act it made trade difficult between countries. This resulted in Europe having difficulty paying us back from the war.

    President Harding died at age 58. He served in office from 1921-1923. He then died from a heart attack in San Francisco's Palace Hotel on August 2, 1923.

    In 1925 the Butler Act was put into effect in Tennessee. It prohibited teaching that denied that God created man as stated in the Bible. If a teacher was caught teaching evolution they would be arrested.

    Babe Ruth, who played for the Yankees, hit his 60th home run on September 30th, 1927. This was a big accomplishment for Ruth! Babe Ruth was the first player to hit 60 home runs in a season.

    Pilot Charles Lindbergh made history on May 21, 1927. He was the first pilot to accomplish flying across the Atlantic Ocean on a solo flight without stopping. Charles had started in New York and landed in Paris.
