People bought many things such as a refrigerator and radio, this was a big invention for people in many ways. Practicly changing there lives. -

Women finally got the right to participate in all elections, and got full citizenship. -
Hoover Declared President
Told the people that the economy would eventually fix it self with no help, this was wrong and hoover was also blamed for the Great Depression. -
First Movie Theater
The First Movie theater opened and was know as a palace at the time. -
Stock Market Crash
Know as the worst stock market crash in history, also thought to be one of the main reasons for the Great Depression. -
"Gangsters"
Given Prohibtion, People know as gangsters (people who illegaly made money) sold ilegal alcohol and were involved in criminal activity, one of the most famous gangsters was Al Capone. -
Banks Closing
Many banks closed because of how many people wanted to withdraw their money so quickly. -
Franklin D. Roosevelt to the rescue
Franklin was elected president in March of 1933 and gave new deals to the people to stop the great depression once and for all. -
Dust Bowl
A huge dust storm carried over 350 million tons of dirt 2,000 miles eastward, this killed some people and many animals.
