Italian-born anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were executed for the murders of two men during a 1920 robbery.
Later they were found not guilty. -
Herbert Hoover is elected U.S. president.
His predecessors’ policies undoubtedly contributed to the crisis of the Great Depression which lasted over a decade. Hoover bore much of the blame in the minds of the American people.
