    The League of Nations was an international organization, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, that was created after the First World War to provide a a solution for resolving international disputes.
  • First Representation of the Play

    The First Representation of the Play was called Beyond the Horizon. It was produced by Eugene O’Neill. This play went on to win Eugene his first Pulitzer Prize.
  • Women’s Right to Vote

    Women’s Right to Vote
    A lot of white women already had the right to vote but then the 19th amendment was ratified, which allowed millions more of women in able to vote on August 18, 1920.
  • NFL was created

    NFL was created
    The American Professional Football League is formed in 1920 with Jim Thorpe as its president and eleven teams. It would change its name to the National Football League in 1922.
  • Warren G. Harding Won the Election

    Warren G. Harding won the Electoral College and the Popular Vote. He obtained over 16 million votes. The Republicans also got their spot back. He won the Electoral race 404 to 127
  • Congressional Resolution is Signed

    The Congressional Resolution was by both houses, and signed by President Warren G. Harding. With the signing came the demand of peace through WWI with Austria, Germany, and Hungary. After a month passed the treaty was executed.

    The legislation passed in the U.S. Congress and signed by President Calvin Coolidge causing the Indians to be citizens.The Indian Citizenship Act granted this right to all Native Americans that had been born within the territory of the United States.

    Calvin won his first presidency retaining the White House for the Republicans.

    Nellie Tayloe Ross is inaugurated as the first woman governor of the United States in Wyoming. Miriam Ferguson is installed two weeks later as the second during a ceremony in Texas.

  • The St. Valentines Day Massacre

    The St. Valentines Day Massacre
    This event was a gang war between arch rivals Al Capone and Bugs Moran. They fought bitterly with “Scarface” Al Capone for control of smuggling and trafficking operations in the Windy City. Throughout the 1920s, both survived several attempted murders. They murdered seven members and associates of Chicago's North Side Gang that occurred on Saint Valentine's Day.

    The constitution was amended because the social and financial conditions in a nation change, so the laws in the nation may need changes or they would lead to bad occurrences such as death and lead to defiance.
