Signing of the Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Verailles was a peace treaties at the end of World War 1. This treaty ended the state of war between Germany and its allied powers. After 5 years of the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, this treaty was signed in 1919. -

In this 1928 Presidental Electrion, Herbert Hoover and Al Smith were battling head to head for presidnet! Being that Smith was a Roman-Catholic, he suffered politically from anti-catholic prejudice and his anti-prohibitional stance. Hoover won by a landslide having a whopping 444 electorla votes while Smith had 87 electoral votes. -

1932 U.S. Presidental Election-Roosevelt vs. Hoover
This Presidenal Election tok place as effects of the 1929 Wall Street Crash. At this time, the Great Depression was being delt with. Many of the voters felt that because of the ecomonic crisis that was before them, Hoover should not be re-elected because he could not reverse the damage. That being said, Roosevelt ending up winning the election by 472 electoral votes. -
