  • Uncle Tom's Cabin

    This is a novel that was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This story was written to show what slaves go through. Her novel was also one of the causes for the civil war.

    In this address Lincoln made a promise to not mess with slavery, and suspended the activities of the government.

    This is when Confederates opened fire on a fort. Which marked the beginning of the Civil War.
