This is a novel that was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe and it talks about the lives of slaves and how they live. This book was created to show people about how inhumane slavery actually was. The publishment of this book led to an even greater divide between the North and South. The section that talked about anti-slavery angered the South but opened a lot of people's eyes in the North.
